All About Me
"The only way to do great work is to love what you do."
- Steve Jobs
Digital Marketing Coordinator, November 2018 - April 2019
Memphis, TN
My time with the Memphis Express, a start-up team in the Alliance of American Football (AAF), was a very rewarding experience. By collecting data at promotional events and on gamedays, I generated the second largest email database in the AAF. I created revenue-generating campaigns, developed and followed our email schedule, gained experience in Salesforce CRM, and provided reporting and analytics using Tableau. I was proud to receive the 'Gameday Operations Staff Member of the Week Award' for the inaugural home game! This was a great opportunity that allowed me to demonstrate flexibility by changing priorities frequently, while working in a fast-paced environment.
Seasonal Marketing, September 2017 - June 2018
Lake Forest, IL
Working for the Chicago Bears gave me extensive experience in database marketing and promotional efforts. It was a privilege for me to learn from a talented marketing group and expand my marketing skills. I gained experience in building and designing HTML emails, planning and evaluating A/B tests to support database growth, building out promotional plans for sweepstakes, compiling metrics, and creating professional recaps. Working at events, including game-day promotions, was an exciting way to drive fan engagement. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity which allowed me to begin a career in sports, while combining my passions for football and marketing.
Marketing Assistant, July 2016 - September 2017
Madison, WI
WDVA gave me the opportunity to grow in my career while working to help veterans in Wisconsin. I gained experience in database marketing, email campaigns, outbound calling, and presentation preparation for funding, Just as important was the insight into veterans and the issues they may face after their service. Learning about these issues, coordinating apprenticeships for veterans, and delivering kits to homeless veterans was a very rewarding part of this position.
Marketing Coordinator and Sales Assistant, May 2015 - July 2016
Madison, WI
Working for a fast-paced IT consulting business was an exciting position which allowed me to wear many hats to be a great team player. I was involved with networking at trade shows, launching marketing campaigns, managing social media, generating surveys, and creating quotes. During my time at the company, I assisted the team in many areas, and we saw the company's sales increase by 29%! I am appreciative of this opportunity, as I learned many new skills and obtained real-world experience.
Brand Ambassador, July 2015 - December 2015
Milwaukee, WI
EatStreet, an online food-ordering company, provided me with marketing experience as a brand ambassador. I developed a strategic marketing plan and promoted public awareness of EatStreet via company promotions and social media. Through event planning and bi-weekly activities, I built the EatStreet brand on campus by building relationships and rapport with clients to increase revenue and growth. I am grateful for this opportunity which allowed me to see the marketing effort involved in working for a start-up company.
B.S. in Business Administration - Marketing, December 2015
Milwaukee, WI
I transferred to UW-Milwaukee to major in business but discovered a passion for marketing through my coursework. During my time there I had many projects that focused on creating new products and sending them to market, developing social media marketing campaigns, and launching an American business in a foreign country. While enrolled at UW-Milwaukee, I was able to grow both personally and professionally. Milwaukee taught me that I enjoy living in larger cities with diverse activities and people.
Undergraduate Coursework - September 2009 - May 2011
Platteville, WI
I attended UW-Platteville to major in engineering, but after one year I decided to major in journalism. With this change, I started writing articles for the school newspaper, The Exponent. After one semester, I was offered the opportunity to become the assistant sports editor of the paper. This was a leadership role where I had five people reporting to me each week for articles they needed to submit. Platteville was the first stepping stone on my path to figuring out my career choice, and I am thankful for the time I spent there.
